Build up to Hawaii

After a short spell of injuries and illness, I'm gradually finding my feet with training again.

Looking ahead to the next few training weeks, I will be entering a few local races to gain some speed, push fitness levels up and get into race mode before the last major races this year (Switzerland, Spain & Hawaii).
I believe my successful start to the year in Prague and Lanzarote was helped by good training races a few weeks prior to these. Getting use to running, cycling or swimming at the intensity you want to race at, not only gives you the physical benefits, but mentally you know that you can hold that pace.
For me, half marathon runs and 120-150k cyclosportives, have proved to be useful....
Dealing with illness

Well after a long stint without major injury or Illness, i've picked up some bug that has made my whole body

feel like a bus has hit it.... Maybe drinking lake water, not eating enough, over training and lack of sleep might well have contributed to it all.
